VAR

After many many years of real dodgy decisions agst us , i thought i had mellowed a little , even thinking my Blue bias might even be swaying my judgement a tad.
But this season is right up there with the dodgiest of decisions ive ever seen.
That was really bad yesterday and rightly being called out over it.
But for me the blatant taking out of KDH by Jones last week tops the lot. Thats an horrendous decision.
Yet there's hardly a murmur about it .
Still fuming over that one tbh.

There's no way they will get rid of VAR. For all the errors and inconsistencies 19 of the 20 clubs voted to keep it when raised this season, and managers all seem to say they want it.

Shows a huge gulf between clubs and fans as it is clear most fans don't want it (for both it's failings and the corrosive effect on spontaneity and joy when watching).
Or the clubs are weary of giving the people manipulating VAR, unchecked control of decisions

I think main issue is inconsistency could tolerate bad decisions when you didn't have VAR, it did even itself out mostly. Issue is that, blatant penalties aren't given for us, yet other sides get similar penalties. Forest would have got 3 penalties against is a few years ago if they were Liverpool. Even when a penalty is given against RS, ref goes out of his way to give RS everything for the rest of the game. 13 minutes added time.

VAR has spoilt my enjoyment of the game.
It's rubbish. I was all for it when it was first proposed but if you have the same numpties in the VAR booth as you do on the pitch, you're going to get the same outcomes. I regularly go and see my local non-league team and there's no VAR, hardly any diving, sin bins for dissent and beers in the stands. Football is not the highest quality but then it isn't always at the Hill-Dicky!
