Interesting now to see how far he pushes this. At what point does he move west and south.

As I predicted yesterday Odessa has been used as a landing base in the south.

He’s gone full tilt I assume he seeks nothing less than regime change.

Honestly, for the sake of lives I hope Ukrainians lay down their weapons because no one wants to see huge loss of life. Putin is clearly hell bent on his course of action. The wests response is a joke and tantamount to telling Ukrainians to give up hope.

Puppet government I would assume. The place will fall like a house of cards. You can see the entire population heading west and who can blame them.

I know that the Latvian government provided stinger missiles, but this is where providing better AAM and equipment would have helped significantly.

The problem there is fitting it, not sure any of their aircraft can use anything except ex-Soviet tech

I was on Nimitz task group years ago.

They were MANPADS - the on the shoulder stuff. In enough numbers, they'd at least be able to drop some of their helicopters if not the older fast-jets.

As above, if it's the FIM-92 from the US then it possibly could. We used it in the Falklands effectively; much better than the tripe Blowpipe if you remember that.

There's a fair few helicopters within 20km of Kyiv too.
