If they're being public about it it's a warning to Iran about something they're doing. If Israel really want to go after Iran's nuclear capability you won't hear about until afterwards.

You could look at it that way - or you could take the view that Israel will just attack anyway at a date and time of it’s own choosing.

They did issue threats to both Iran and the US to sort this nuclear stuff out between them and if they couldn’t then they would sort it themselves.

They’ve spent a shed load of money modifying their aircraft, developing new technology and training their forces to be able to launch this attack which leads me to believe they’re serious.
