Russia’s federal censor orders news media to report information only from official Russian sources

Roskomnadzor informs the mass media that it is required, when preparing materials and publications concerning the conduct of the special operation in connection with the situation in the Luhansk People’s Republic and Donetsk People’s Republic, to use information and data received only from official Russian sources.
The federal agency says media outlets can be fined for the dissemination of “false information” and their publications can be blocked in Russia.

Yes, but I think sanctions aren’t going to be as effective as making this clearly have failed - as in, if he is doing this to prevent NATO on the border then our response should be for NATO to visibly protect the border. If he wants to prevent NATO expanding then NATO should expand if Sweden and Finland ask to join.

His foreign antics and cyber attacks should be stopped, and his influence peddling exposed and shut down, together with the traitors who have taken his money.

It’s going to cost us, no doubt, and there’ll be times of difficulty. Still, I think the severe sanctions will need to be put in place at least in the short and medium term.

The gas issue presents a concern, but another problem (less immediate) is they may not give EU gas. Although, that’d cripple them first.

This will be a long-term issue now, and potentially take years to resolve.

In the medium-term Ukraine as a whole will likely be annexed with a government in exile possibly in Poland.

In the longer-term Russia will not be unable to sustain that state of affairs and it will likely ultimately lead to Putins removal.

The post-war scenario for Ukraine is much harder to predict. They are condemned to continuing instability for many years unfortunately.
