I mean I didnt mention the boy Schroeder, I know very little about him.

But anyway, lets not let Brexit boy side track this thread with his wrong shaped bananas bull.
He was Kanzler when I lived in Germany. The saying at the time was that he only drove Audis because they have four rings—he’s been married four times.
Anyway, he’s now on the board of several Russian gas companies.

This has nothing to do with Brexit, and everything to do with what the EU’s largest economy has been working for with Russia, without giving a crap about the obvious effect upon both Ukraine and Poland…..

History will not be kind to Merkel…..

“Schröder has been criticized for colluding with Vladimir Putin's Russia and being complicit in the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. On 1 March 2022, Schröder's entire staff including long-time office manager Albrecht Funk resigned due to Schröder's alliances with Russia and Putin directly.[2] On 8 March 2022 the Public Prosecutor General initiated proceedings related to accusations against Schröder of complicity in crimes against humanity due to his role in Russian state-owned corporations.[3] On the same day his party initiated proceedings to expel him from the SPD.[4] Shortly before the formal vote to strip him of the honorary citizenship of his hometown of Hanover, Schröder wrote that he relinquished the honour.[5] The CDU/CSU group demanded that Schröder is included in the European Union sanctions against individuals with ties to the Putin regime.”……
Exactly. His involvement in Russia is at the very least tawdry. In all likelihood it’s quite a sinister relationship

And as I said Pete, this isnt Facebook, nobody wants to read about your baseless Brexit horse manure.

Take it back there.

To me hes just doing the same as Boris, but hes doing it better.

But again, my comment was about Pete chatting wham that Putin invading Ukraine was all Angela Merkells fault.

Here she is when she was in the Soviet era…..

You either join the soviet regime/army conscripts or you get binned from opportunities in society. She had to deny working for the stasi by spying on her colleagues later on.

BoJo is still a racist.

Regardless, it's not her fault Ukraine have been invaded, give your head a wobble ffs

Blaming Schroder's positions on her is also quite absurd lol

I’m not blaming Schroeder‘s positions on Merkel. I’m just pointing out how two German chancellor’s have aided Russia and contributed to the invasion of Ukraine as a result….

So she should've binned gas/green energy, remained intent on coal and fired Schroeder somehow?

They've contributed no more than the UK has, as well as many others, to an extent even Bulgaria, as we've relied on Russian gas quite a lot. War is always heavily political and to say "oh Merkel caused it by herself" (or even she and her 'accomplice', as it were, apparently) is absolutely bonkers. There's many aspects to the start of this conflict and you're looking through the one you like the most - blaming the person you, for some reason, hate the most in continental Europe - Angela Merkel.

Forens are bad.

I just happen to think that she is responsible for more harm within the EU than anyone. And she definitely via NS2 caused the invasion of Ukraine…but if you think she was the gods gift to the world, who had nothing to do with pushing the U.K. towards Brexit, nothing to do with the refugee crisis, nothing to do with the East European countries becoming more nationalistic and nothing to do with undermining Ukraine while funding Russia then we will disagree…..

Yeah I said that didn't I? No, I didn't.

She's much like all people - with faults. (Even blonde gods like Boris Johnson have faults).

England was the sole reason Brexit even happened for the most part, much like most things in the "united" Kingdom;
She caused NS2 by herself, as she planned, approved and laid down he pipes herself, as well as then cancelling it? Or was that more of a joint effort? It's one of the most criticised moves in recent political history and it's not down to 1 person.
Eastern Europe has been a nationalist safe haven since we got our own countries back from being enslaved/slaughtered/communism'd (definitely a term, don't look it up... but it should be...), so you can probably see why that is, right?

The funding Russia thing, as I said, has been happening by everyone, including the UK (saying it AGAIN), even if BoJo joined everyone with criticising NS2 for what it was.

I don't think Merkel is directly responsible for Russia's actions through corruption however through possible naivety has allowed the Russian scourge to grow.

Much like we turned a blind eye to Russian money laundering and tapping up influence in London.

We are all complicit and we are all in it together now. Hopefully everyone has their eyes wide open to what Russia is although there are plenty still at the trough who will want to serve their own financial interests.

More than the megalomaniac in charge of Russia with his egotistical, jingoistic views?

I also love how the picture of her at the age of seventeen, in the uniform of a quasi-mandatory GDR organisation, means she has links to Russia.

Lemme guess, his first name is Boris.
