They will not surrender. Nor will they agree.
This is a "we shall never surrender" moment, and likely rightfully so. Yes, it will get ugly, there will be casualties, but these are proud people and it's not entirely unwinnable by any means, unless they get carped bombed/nuked, which would defeat the purpose of the war to begin with.

I can see what you're saying and the bombing is quite serious, however put yourself in this position and tell me - will you abandon everything you have and have worked for? They are going to get carpet bombed though; that is what he has done repeatedly. He will mash the people of that land to a pulp, and destroy everything.
Proud people will prepare for what is likely to come; they can use the time they’ve won positively and who knows what the near future could bring?
Zelenskyy's not sitting though - he has addressed the people and given the nearly-the-same Churchill speech? He has to say that publicly to ensure he gets a better resolution - if Russia think they will dig in until their money runs out then Putin may drop the regime change/denazification/bloc goals.
Sitting while your country is pummelled into oblivion and your population are killed in an unwinnable war is not clever politics on any level. Even if Russia withdraw and ceasefire they still control Crimea and the breakaway regions.
By summer half of Ukrainian population may have been terminated
What does that say to Putin, Xi and the other dictators around the world though? Is it time for the Ukranian leaders to surrender or agree to the Russian demands?
It's already becoming very ugly and there is no way they can win.
On both sides - Ukrainian (and non-UA) armed forces have helped civilians make home-made molotovs and the like, so they're very ready. If the Russians try to storm Kyiv like the US say they are planning too, it will be absolutely brutal.
If anything good can come out of this catastrophe, it would be if Putin ends up being gone for good. Either to prison or to hell!Hopefully this drives a removal of him from power.
God help the Ukrainian population. Horrific already and may get much worse. How is this going to end without the removal of Putin? If the Russians try to storm Kyiv like the US say they are planning too, it will be absolutely brutal.
