Not really. Even the USA was exasperated at Germany (and Italy) for dragging their feet, and Biden even said so in a gentle form of words. The west wanted an agreed response, not some half arsed some in some out statement. Boris did his bit to cajole the European waverers. The first pot shot you referred to was my one of Germany supplying crap arms to Ukraine, and as I posted this was factual. It even came after the U.K. provided 2000 anti tank NLAWS to take out the Russian tanks and Armoured vehicles and then Germany offered some Helmets…probably ones with spikes on top….

We are never going to see eye to eye on this Pete and in any case we are where we are - Europe has implemented tough sanctions and Germany is planning to bulk up its military so at least that should make you happier in the future.

The move by Mastercard and Visa appears absolutely massive to me (albeit I have zero banking knowledge).

If they pulled out of the UK, the country would literally grind to a halt.

I’ve never had a debit or credit card issued from any company that wasn’t Visa or Mastercard.

Edit: Just read the fine print… Cards issued in Russia will still work in Russia but it’s their central bank that will have to do the donkey work with regards to processing.

Fully agree in regard to dirty money Pete, let’s have all the info out in the open and see which decisions were influenced and exactly who was compromised.
