I really do hope Putin has misjudged the situation but do we really know that that is the case.True but I do think Putin thought he could take Kyiv with relative ease after two or three days. He did not expect to have to use the full force of his military.
If he did, they would be better prepared.
It's not whataboutery....So easy to forget too.
Oh dear, going down the whataboutery route here...
of course we cant be 100% sure but it seems likely that if he wanted to install a puppet government, he would have taken an initial softer approach. Which he did. I'm sure they factored in the likelihood of the softer approach failing but I doubt they were planning on it.I really do hope Putin has misjudged the situation but do we really know that that is the case.
Putin is just as likely to have know full well how long and how hard it was going to be.
So they'll need a 50 mile long resupply column behind the 50 mile long tank column to Kiev thenThe US are apparently reporting that between 60-80% of Russian forces in Ukraine are either out of food, fuel or ammunition or will be by the weekend. That could halt their advance.
We should surely be engaging in negotiation and insisting that the UN immedIately send in a peace keeping force. Any argument from Russia, ‘Koff we’re coming. The UN vote, whats the purpose? Does it mean anything apart finger pointing?
Maybe or he could of just been testing the water with a softer approach to see what the response would be from NATO ect .of course we cant be 100% sure but it seems likely that if he wanted to install a puppet government, he would have taken an initial softer approach. I don’t know mate. All the talk before the attack began was of how the Ukrainians would fight for every inch of ground and would rather die than surrender.True but I do think Putin thought he could take Kyiv with relative ease after two or three days. He did not expect to have to use the full force of his military.

To be honest, I've no idea how long the Ukrainians can hold out. I do think by end of next week, both sides will be running on fumes.Maybe or he could of just been testing the water with a softer approach to see what the response would be from NATO ect .
I expect him to go full tilt in the next week and take full control of Ukraine
The Russians would rightly consider this to be NATO aggression under a literal false flag.We should surely be engaging in negotiation and insisting that the UN immedIately send in a peace keeping force. Any argument from Russia, ‘Koff we’re coming.
