When the banks collapse (as they are about to) then it will create a domino effect across the country.
Without FX / SWIFT there is no escape.
People are focusing on 'the poorer' elements of society but this isnt just going to impact them. It will hit all levels of Russian status and standing.
With the anonymous hacks and news coming from Ukraine as well as the protests theres going to be alot of opposition to Putin.
The bloke has basically pulled a pin out of a grenade and dropped it at his feet.

While it's great that all of these countries are offering billions in aid etc, just how quickly can Ukraine actually make use of the money? Feels like by the time they get the extra weapons, tanks, aircraft, ammunition, medical supplies, etc, they'll have long since have been obliterated.

According the BBC, the EU is predicting up yo 7million. In a country of 44m, that's an insane number. I presume that's not including a lot of men who are fighting so who really knows what the figure will be.there's going to be circa what, 20m (best case scenario) more refugees now in Europe... created in the space of a few days

I won't up the link as frankly the images of the dead 6 year old with her mother at her side are very distressing but Putin and his fascist army have just killed this little girl too. Polina was shot and killed by the Russians while in a car with her parents. The Harry Potter fan was due to finish primary school this year.

Beautiful, happy girl. Would hopefully have gone on to live a long life. It is great that the West are supporting our Ukrainian cousins with fighter jets but we should also be giving them access to drones in order that they can rain hellfire on that convoy.
