As will many mercenaries that will want to enter the fray. As normal the populace of Ukraine and Russia will pay the ultimate price. It just doesn't make any sense. Putin is beyond deluded.

I scrolled through "Pikabu" (their Reddit) and several Russian internet forums with Chrome translator, and from everything i read it seems very pro-war. They mostly argue that Ukrainians spent last 8 years shelling Donbass and so this is defensive reaction, also about Nazi groups

I saw some shots of Russian forces trying to maintain order in a Ukrainian city. Obviously they were being shouted at by a crowd but the troops weren’t under fire or in danger.

If they stay long term they may possibly just position themselves as an occupying force tasked with maintaining order.

Good to know if it come to it on these shores that you would welcome the invading force with open arms. Worm.
