In the short term, this will strengthen the EU. The Poles and Orban have quickly realised that without the EU - and Germany - they are sitting ducks. NATO is problematic because Trump proved to many in Germany that the Americans were no longer reliable partners. While Chancellor Scholz has no intention of invading anybody, once the genie is out of the bottle - and Germany realises it has to punch its weight in a world of Putin and perhaps Trump again - it will not easily go back in. Friedrich Merz, the new leader of the CDU (Mrs Merkel's party) is, shall we say, a bit of a loose cannon. If that man was in power - or somebody of his ilk - well, let's just say business could be about to pick up.

Putin is has clearly gone full Adolf in the bunker. He cannot be listening to his advisors now and you have to wonder how long it'll be before there is a move made on him.

TBF I am not sure it needs one - the Russian government doesn't seem to have prepared the population for the war, or for the losses. When they start having soldiers' mums protesting in numbers (as we saw with the Kursk families) it could get very tricky for him - its not easy to spin grieving or concerned parents of service personnel as traitors.

Similar shade of... phrasing - seeing as we, Bulgarians, were under Ottoman slavery for 500 years, current political pro-Turkey propagandist climate wants to (and to an extent - has) changed the phrasing so it's not slavery, but "coexistence" and stuff like that. Bit off topic, but a bit the same use here...
