My guess is that it’ll end sometime next year one way or another.

Ukraine is on its knees but so is the Russian economy
Do you think one big "donation" by the west could be a deciding factor, or just delay the inevitable? I suppose it could depend on what size a "donation" is?

Seems it might not all be about Donalds talk of 24 hours.

Unless Putin expects all his terms to be agreed and Ukraine to agree to this.

I just want to ask about your first paragraph. Do you consider it ethical to field test a missile in a country you are at war with, if it is likely to kill civilians?

Not at all, but as the field test was on a armaments factory which by nature doesn't have civilians living right next to it, and as the strike was done at about 3am then I think we can say that risk was negligible.
.
Unlike the US field test in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
..sorry that's Whataboutism isn't it

Oh, I am 100% against the use of nuclear weapons - I can think of absolutely zero situations where they are justified. But as you correctly surmised, that is complete whataboutism so hopefully we can now ignore that and chat like adults 👍

Are civilians that work in factories legitimate targets for missile testing? Even night shift workers that are there at 3am?
Or should countries test missiles within their own boundaries?

Most of the “hypersonic” missiles they use were from stock. Have you noticed how few are used during their regular missile attacks on civilian infrastructure?
Maybe because they aren't needed and are being stockpiled for use in targets with serious AA coverage, errrm like should NATO FA and FO.
Oh and they’re not true hypersonic merely air-launched ballistic missiles - coz they slow down on re-entry in their terminal phase.
Not seen one shot down by the patriots though so what does that say about the US AA systems, oh and how's the US hypersonics program going, have they restarted it yet after the third attempt was abandoned?
Russian drones come from China and Iran paid for with cheap oil and gas.
For a year and a half the Gerund has been internally produced and improved upon. Never mind the huge number of developments made .
Russian AA systems are pyar turd, highlighted by the destruction of Russian oil refineries and ammo dumps by Ukraine’s LR drones.
Sure they are - it's why Russia have zero ammo and oil left, Crimea bridge still looks decent though - as do any protected area - wonder why
I’ll give you the FAB systems deployed on glide bombs as a low tech option that works but its small consolation when you buy a washing machine in Moscow only to find you have to crank it by hand.

Bought one this year, it's an indesit - go sanctions ))

During a war then if you work in a factory which is a military one then you're gonna be fair target mate, the one struck was a ballistic missile producing one, anyone in there at the time is gonna be sadly to say collateral damage. .y gran worked in one in Liverpool during ww2 she knew at any point they could be bombed.

The missile tested I don't think people understand just how significant this was. It's a conventional weapon not nuclear but the destructive power is way beyond anything we've seen used before.

If people shrug this off then they are [Poor language removed] idiots.

I have no expertise in the matter, but if the US and Russia were to have a completely non-nuclear war, who do you reckon would win, and why?
I think China are getting very close to competing with the US, but can't see Russia being serious competition for either. I could be very wrong though 🤷‍♂️

Loadsa KH-47’s been shot down by patriot. Dunno what war you’ve been watching.

On a side note:

Back in the day I had an interesting side convo with Steve on DM. He told me some stuff back then - why don’t you DM me and we can discuss what we talked about? It would be nice to catch up

Well you're allegedly a teacher which during a war might be seen as promoting terrorist ideologies.

Sounds like you're fair game mallrat.
