I wondered if the u.s and china put tariffs on one another if that might have a knock on effect of further harming the value of the ruble. Confidence in markets shrinks and so demand alters, someone will make a fortune flogging cheap metal detectors, someone has to make safe all that Ukrainian territory, can't farm fields full of explosives.

Very plausible as China seems to be uncomfortable having North Korean troops helping Russia at the moment. They seem to be offside on supporting the Chinese narrative. It’s amazing to me that Ukraine has kept Yeman and Iran at bay as well. This will end badly as the Baltic states know they are next if Kyiv falls.

Wondering out loud as the peace brokered deal between the IDF and Hezbollah could focus more on Iran as they have been providing many missiles and munitions to Russia. I don’t think Putin will broker a peace deal with anyone like Biden or Trump. So expect a long drawn out slog.

Nah! The SBA is classed as a hard target. Also the CIA use Akrotiri as an operational base so any Russian shenanigans there would be met with a firm US response.

More likely they’ll target infrastructure in the UK. Transport, energy, communications etc.
