Can you explain to me how invading Russia is just defending your country.

NATO is a fundamental problem too.

Russia invaded Ukraine, they have a right to retaliate.

Trying to retake their territories that are occupied and have had defences put in place for years would be much harder than invading their own territory which had been pretty much left undefended as Russia didn't believe Ukraine would be allowed to invade them.

They did it to improve their bargaining position in case Trump won the election and tries to force a peace agreement. Russia won't give up any land they have taken illegally unless they are forced to or Ukraine have a means with which to bargain. It was a clever move to strengthen their position given what's happened with the US election.

Russia started the war, carry out war crimes and target civilians, while flattening everything before them. I don't see Ukraine doing the same to them?

NATO isn't a problem either. It's Europes greatest protection against Russia.

Zelensky wont be around much longer. The US Government in the new year will see that he's toppled and demand elections as the way to go about it.

Now the Germans are looking like holding new elections in the new year. If it's a harsh winter then there's another knife in the corpse if Germany also turns it back on Ukraine.

Looks like the Biden government is going to push all the remaining sanctioned military aid for Ukraine out before Trump gets in. That should allow for more stronger resistance efforts before Trump gets in and does what he promises and slashes what the US is providing.
