Ukrainian forces are crumbling in the east and if Trump wins tomorrow this conflict is almost certainly over in the next couple of months.

Also I raised an eyebrow a month or so ago about the Russians getting to the Dneiper and taking Dnipro when you mentioned it. Well seeing as the Russians are virtually past the main line of Ukrainian defences in the south and there's nothing more until the Dneiper then you were probably right.
I also don’t think that the war is over until Russia has what it set out for regardless of who wins. A Harris win equals the same as usual and a continued grind to the Dneiper and a rethink of if it is worth pushing on. A Trump win equals a faster reaching of the Dneiper and the same outcome. Winter won't affect the Russians so much who have a good road network to carry the fighting on.
I've seen comments about joining up the Volchansk- Kupiansk in the north and grinding on to Odessa as being on the cards from hawkish Russian channels. I don't even know what the response to that could be.
Looking very grim at the moment for the Ukrainians.

You can bet your bottom dollar that there'll be millions of Ukrainians hoping that Trump wins this election and ends this war.
It's only the oligarch and western puppet Zelensky and his henchmen who want this to carry on and taking the lives of other people's sons.

I wonder if belarus has ideas on absorbing some of Ukraine. Extend their border with Poland, and keep the western third of Ukraine. Keeps russia officially off the doorstep of Poland as such and then every Ukrainian man woman and child can join the putin bandwagon or cease to exist.
The nightmare above comes about, even piecemeal, there'll be a housing shortage then. When every Ukrainian and Moldovan is packing their bags and moving away from russki aggression Europe will not be able to cope.

They will just retreat to a line let the winter come in, then the wet spring and next to no movement .
Then let the Russian send yet more troops to the meatgrinder, poor sods will be untrained , more than likely crap equipment and unsuitable clothing ect, cannon fodder, that's someone's son ,brother or dad.
It will not end unfortunately any time soon regardless of Trump winning or hopefully not.

I suspect Harris will win by a narrow margin and there'll be a huge shitstorm thereafter. If that happens then Ukraine will be a very low priority for anyone in the states.
This may well be the worst outcome for Ukraine and Putin will certainly take that as a result. Tin foil hat time- notice how many votes that have been allegedly interfered in by Russia have been razor close and create a toxic environment in that nation.
