The US state dept have warned that Russia will seek to create situations that lead to a pretext for their invasion.

US have sanctions package ready to go as soon as first tanks start rolling across the border.

Putin has threatened to cut gas pipelines to Western Europe as a direct response.

There are real fears that Russia will attempt to cut subsea fibre cables effectively bringing down the internet as s response to US sanctions.

Ukraine hit today with massive Cyber attacks - purportedly from ultra right Polish groups, however analysis shows that the Polish grammar used in the texts was of poor quality and not believed to come from native Polish speakers.

These are western missiles and the pretence is in play that the 'permission' hasn't been granted to use them against Russia yet.

If they and you think a long war of attrition will work against NATO then then they and you are clueless, there's no long game if they enter war with NATO. Russia are approaching 3 years in Ukraine and making minimal gains. You know full well that there will be no response from Russia if the west give long range permission.. The true Russian leadership was seen that time a missile hit Poland Russians were running around soiling themselves trying to prove and praying it wasn't a Russian missile. They know they have no chance, they certainly won't attempt a neculear confrontation as they'll likely do more damage to themselves. Corruption on an industrial scale has probably seen their neculear program rendered ineffective.
