So we know that you’re happy with Ukrainian land falling to Russia..

War ends tomorrow, Russia gains the Donbas from Ukraine. First of all what do Ukraine gain? NATO membership? Second do you think that ends there?
Peace makes me happy.

I make no apologies for that.

I don't believe they asked you about what makes you happy, and we know you don't make apologies as you have an ego the size of russia
I'm sorry. What should I do? Fall into line with the keyboard generals who dont care if their hopes for keeping a war going kills more working class people on each side?

I believe in peace. I believe also that the people of Ukraine and Russia need to overthrow their respective governments.

What's that got to do with the original two Q's the poster asked you, and then my comment on you not answering

You wouldn't ruin as many threads as you do if you just learned to have an actual conversation instead of browbeating everybody with your stance on everything, stating opinion as if fact and ignoring other peoples opinions

Ten fecking years I've been reading your disruptive posting style.

Just have a normal conversation for once for god sake

Sorry Dave, but what an awfully glib answer. We all want peace, however at what cost? To the detriment of the Ukrainian people, who've been illegally invaded?

To the detriment of Russia's neighbours in the long-term? Should Britain have rolled over in '40? Russia in '41, all in the name of peace?

While we want peace, the peace was broken by Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine, and they can not be allowed to benefit from it, or at least to the extent they wish.

You can argue it started with a relentless push of NATO to Russias borders.

But boundaries change all the time. Peace, with part of the Donbas going into a buffer zone, makes pragmatic sense now to avoid hundreds of thousand more deaths. And the majority of taken territory have Russian majorities.

Is it right? That's debatable...but the alternative is a never ending war claiming hundreds of thousands more lives.

So why not attack NATO, rather than a non-NATO member? And the intelligence would suggest it would primarily stop Russian grunts from dying.

The reason/pretext - whatever you prefer - was that Kyiv was sanctioning a war against Russian speakers in the east of Ukraine.

But the issue now is how to end it.
