The fear so many felt at the beginning of this battle has quickly turned into anger and strength. They are fighting for their home and have the passion to protect it like nobody else.

I'm going to hazard a guess here and say the memories of dictatorship aren't so far-away for a lot of people there.

I've got Polish friends who are adamant their parents, aunts and uncles were fearful of their newfound freedoms post communism being taken away (and it was drummedinto them too). Similarly the Romanians in my life say similar about never wanting to go back to pre-revolution times and dictatorship.

It's the sort of stuff we've barely had to worry about in England. We're so so privileged in quite a lot of ways. So yeah, no wonder they're prepared to scrap like mad.

That report never mention the word surrender or implied it, you twisted it to suit your pathetic agenda. It said Zalensky was prepared to talk, he’s always been prepared to talk but not with terms imposed by Putin like laying down arms.

I think this is the big issue. The Russian people are nice people, they just happen to be ruled by a deviant Kleptocracy that’s causing this. Putin has gone mad. The west should be telling his generals they will be held to account…..

Putin isn't going to back down. He'll be tried as a war criminal (rightly so). I honestly think he'd flatten a city (probably Kyiv at this rate).

So his government - what's left of it - has to stop him.
