Guys My personal situation is quite shitty.

My girlfriend was about to leave in the night two days ago, but heavy shelling started from both sides since Russian paratroopers were trying to land. She said that she should have stayed in Kyiv instead of going West. Right now, the Hostomel/ Antonov Airport blocks her from going back to Kyiv since it is controlled by Russians. A village close to where my GF is got shelled today, three civilians died and the entire village was flattened. Now she can't leave anymore. I don't know what to do. I have no idea how I can drive from Polish border to an area close to Kyiv. I will need to refuel but gas stations are empty and the roads are super dangerous.

My best friends' father is still in the capital, he experienced three wars in Iraq and was quite underestimating the situation, but now he intends to leave in one of the evacuation trains that still leave from the stations.

My girlfriends family is in Kyiv still. They are in a shelter. Today a residential apartment block got hit by a missile, only 4km of their own block.

I have the idea that Russia would have expected to end this war within 48 or 72 hours and now they're realising the resistance is much bigger, which is causing them to bring more firepower to the front in terms of unguided missile systems and rockets/heavy artillery.
