As far as I'm aware, Ukraine have documented their land mines in accordance with the Halo Trust (I think), so they can go back and clear them after the war. Russia won't be doing the same though.
I fear you over estimate the Ukrainian approach and have the Russian one spot on.

In time we may find out.

Russia have made clear of there contempt for civilians, women and children on a daily basis. I remember the reports from a couple of years back that they were planting bombs in childrens toys to drive panic and psychological damage.

You never fail to embarrass yourself.

Post on spud, post on.
So what would you do with any young Ukrainian conscientious objectors (in your terms, cowards) who refuse conscription? Surely you can fly out to imbue them with your good old Brit fighting spirit? The sight of your many medals for valor will I'm sure work a treat 😉 Even a photo of them on the forum would be most impressive...

How on earth does Putin think going to war with NATO countries is going to lead to anything other than complete loss of all territories they've gained in Ukraine plus total devastation for Russia?
He's nuts,so who knows. It could be bluster or the beginning of the end.

Because this is precisely the sort of issue that could split NATO.

I mean, this is pretty clearly not the collective (or even majority) decision that the alliance as a whole has come to. In some reports it only includes one country (us) getting permission from one other party to use one system against Russia itself - so not SCALP-EG, not ATACMS and not anything else.

If this was a collective decision then I agree Putin would be much less likely to respond because of the overwhelming force against him, but whilst it’s just us - not a part of the EU remember - then I think some sort of limited military response from them against us might result in no significant reaction from the rest of the alliance.
