I'm saying that we should not be arming Ukraine and that it was a grave mistake to arm them. That is my point.

Until a few days ago there was no intention publicly that Ukraine would ever move into Russian territory.

Even if Zelensky really believes the Russian military is that thin they'd have to retreat it does not give him the right to emulate what Russia is doing even if it's on a smaller scale. There are real people, Russian and Ukrainian, who live in these areas on the borders that are suffering immensely already.

These are very naïve views. Ukraine has been invaded. They tried to take their capital only 2 years ago. If they want to win this war they need to ostensibly force the conflict onto Russian territory. It's war. A war they did not want or ask for.

History has proven, failing to confront aggression invites more aggression. So the Ukrainians are merely doing what they said they would

I think I was just trying to clarify if you are saying you don’t think any country at war should do this or just in this situation for some reason?

I think it is wrong for a country's military, at the behest of its leader, to take through force and conflict the land of another country. But my overall point was that now we have armed Ukraine we must accept some responsibility for any harm that is caused in Russian territory. I'm not pro-Putin and I'm not trying to be a 60s hippy, I am just typing some opinions I have.

I think it is wrong for a country's military, at the behest of its leader, to take through force and conflict the land of another country. But my overall point was that now we have armed Ukraine we must accept some responsibility for any harm that is caused in Russian territory. I'm not pro-Putin and I'm not trying to be a 60s hippy, I am just typing some opinions I have.

So if we (or any other country) are not allowed to provide aid to a country, what stops larger countries 'take through force and conflict the land of' a smaller country?

You can't seriously conflate sending food, building supplies etc. to rebuild their infrastructure (which is right) and sending weapons. One saves lives and the other destroys lives.

Russia invading Ukraine and using indiscriminate air attacks is not saving Ukrainian lives, is it? Maybe Russian lives are more important, aye?

You don't win wars (wars that were forced upon you by an invading country that intends to seize your lands, not even a temporary occupation, it is permanent seizures as per Crimea etc) by doing that

Was it a grave mistake for the USA to provide the U.K. with additional ships in WW2 ? Was it a grave mistake for both the U.K. and USA to run convoys with food and arms to Russia in order to fight Hitler ? At what point does helping someone defend themselves against a Tyrant become a grave mistake and why ?…..
