I'd advise you to pick up and read any book that gives a fairly decent commentary on the way markets expanded into the vacuum left by the collapse of the former Stalinist states.

If you did then you'd see how the ground was prepared for the rise of an autocrat.

To attempt to ignore or downgrade western governments and western corporations impact on the conditions that brought a thug like Putin through to power is astounding and a little bit Orwellian.
Piffle, literally
Russia has had countless putins, was the west always to blame?

Stop making excuses for your man and his tendency to cause misery

Just reading one right now detailing how Putin with an organised crime group called the Tambov took over st Petersburg’s port and fuel industry.

They were created in 1988, before the Soviet Union collapsed.

Your attempt to disregard the criminality taking place in Russia before the fall of the wall and it’s impact on the collapse in the 90s is pitiful.

Can you please stop posting links to that site

I wouldn’t put links up to Komsomolskaya Pravda - and I’d trust that more than some Victoria Nuland agitprop vehicle.

Err, Keith, your mouth is moving a lot like a rat... yapa yapa yapa. Shut it please.

I provided actual links to it where the Ukros themselves confirmed. Yet another example in the hundreds of examples where I’ve wasted my time providing evidence here only to be told it is not evidence

Which is why I don’t bother engaging any more
Yes you did , and then you made up some random equation to calculate the number of Ukranian casualties and also now you worked out it is 10x the qty of Russian casualties.

You still haven't answered how you came to this 10x amount.

Care to elaborate? or is it just more nonsense that you claim is evidence. You are too easy.

Can I have the name of that book and the author please ?

That link also confirmed the percentage of serious wounded the 25k represented

The Soviet Union was in a state of collapse for decades. The system was moribund. And yes, criminality occurred. But it was;t on the level of gangsterism that happened with the fall of the Soviet Union.

Honestly, you've got a brass neck telling me or anyone else that Russian society wasn't cracked open by western capital encouraging the break up of the state's industries and encouraging the former top brass in the Soviet Union to enable the carve up.

The Russians experienced gangster capitalism. That wasn't organic to their country, it was a hybrid mix of all the worst of western corporate greed plus the thuggery of Russia's former military and police leaders who staked their claim to a piece of the pie.

Far less ‘organised crime’ in the ussr than existed in western capitalist states of the time.

‘Organised crime’ came about after the end of the ussr not during it,

The reds built the wall mate, they entrenched their views and brazenly tortured and murdered those they didn't like very much throughout East Germany.
