The Ukrainians are pretty much out of options now. They have still got weapons supplied by the west which they can use to cause a few pin pricks here and there but their available troops are running out and they’ll need huge numbers to force the Russians out of the new regions.

It seems like Putin has now followed the US with the ‘to the last Ukrainian’ mantra, which is a shame because he has in the past regularly referred to Russians and Ukrainians as one people.

Your constant attempts to justify the rape and murder of innocent people is beyond contempt - but as if that wasn't bad enough - you come out with unbelievably insensitive and abhorrent statements like this, implying that Putin had no option but to murder Ukrainians and sacrifice rivers of Russian blood.

I desperately hope that you're not mentally unwell enough to believe this tripe.

Well, its fair to ask (as the Guardian even have) how their initial claim of 7 dead in the attack rose the next day to 33.

There's a fair amount t of over claiming on the Ukraine side.

Obviously they're looking for a big boost, but claims like that over the Navy HQ rebound on them.

TBH, if he was dead the Russians wouldn't have reacted at all. Plenty of army top brass of theirs have been killed and there's no attempt to confirm or deny.

The Ukraine have made a mess of this.

It’s not exactly a new phenomenon for death tolls to rise when reporting on something like this.
