Why would the US care about that? The US calls the shots with the EU and that is why Washington formed the EU by fair means or foul in the first place.
The Ukraine is owned by US controlled agribusiness and thus they would profit ,so that is all that counts. Knocking out the EU agribusiness production is a part of this plan. Who cares what the Europeans then do, with being forced to only buy US agribusiness food. To the US the Europeans are expendable anyway.
