You have actually. You can twist facts and ratios and all sorts to suit an agenda. Point is, I was told the UK had shut the door on Ukrainians. We are the 4th highest in the number we have welcomed. % per capita is irrelevant. I am sure the 230000 Ukrainians dont give a fig about that. You obviously do.

Who I "support", Everton notwithstanding, is no ones business but mine. But please, do not smear the UK in the yoke of the Tories.

I have responded honestly; will you? Did you, or would you, volunteer your house for Uke refugees? I wont judge you either way, it is non of my business.

He has 54% of the vote in the latest polling. There's 35 million eligible voters.

I think its pretty safe to assume that if 46% of those polled don't want to vote for him then they don't think he's a hero...

With respect mate, that is bollox. About 170000 Ukrainians have been housed in the UK since the war started, many by volunteer families who had the space/etc to help. I applied, but as a single male and living in a remote (by UK standards) village, I was very much at the bottom of the list.

Polish families and communities have gone the extra mile taking in a million refugees.

That's an incredible effort. Of course, the cracks are beginning to show now and a lot of Poles have a bit of war fatigue....something the Ukraine state taking the Poles to a UN court over grain sales won't have done much to alter.

I bring it up in order to hammer home (again) that all this is caused by the incompetence of a clumsy and arrogant Zelensky regime.

I think most people object to the Tories on this due to their opportunism in deflecting from domestic concerns...especially Johnson who wanted the 'Churchillian' glory from standing 'shoulder to shoulder' with the Ukrainians to take off the front pages his cover parties mess.

I post this to underline the point about the US Elections and the impact it'll have on Ukraine's chances to get the arms it requires...I know Paul is a confirmed sceptic on Ukraine, but these sort of issues will crop up on Capitol Hill amongst most Republicans and many Democrats. Don't believe for a second that the taps won't get all but turned off.

It would be wrong to say that you have no idea what you're saying as you know exactly what you're doing. It is a disgusting look and a very poor call.
