Have I read it right, 'we're having an emergency landing because the landing hydraulics are goosed'? I thought it was protocol to fly round till the fuel was burned up then crash* land a devoid of fuel vehicle, for like safety reasons of common sense and all. The speed this place moves is a bit of a chore to keep up, what with the rampant putin fellating and the joyful glee enjoyed by the massacring of civilians. A chore.

I doubt the Ukrainian Mossad killed the first, and probably won’t be responsible for the death of the latter. I’d be amazed if they were responsible for more than five outside of Ukraine and Russia.

It was I think a green system hydraulic failure. His landing gear was retracted at the time of failure so had to be lowered manually/gravity and he then diverted to a nearer airfield. However with his landing gear down his fuel burn rate would have increased significantly and he ran out of fuel before reaching the airfield, but somehow managed to land it safely in a field.

If I understand a green system failure then his main brake would have been unusable , his nose wheel steering stuffed, his reverser locked, most of his spoilers stuffed and his flaps also probably not working properly.

That is because you are reading it wrong. The statement never claimed children had been assassinated, indeed it never explicitly said anyone on the list had been. It just said there was a list (there is) and there are children on it (there are), and many people on the list had died (they have).

Of course the whole statement is constructed in such a way to make the casual reader believe that people have been assassinated for being on the list.
