Absolute dog . There has been torcher from both sides.. there has been deliberate targeting of civilians, reports of rape, executions and kidnapped children. It's a mess from both sides but Russia are doing far worse things.

Talking about the unwritten rules set by the USA/Russia for their own purposes, not some arbitary moral code that no powerful state ever gets held accountable for

So far the conflict in Ukraine has been a rules based affair with both sides staying within the rules most of the time. Russia operates under the rule that their country is not at war with countries that provide weapons to Ukraine, but with a condition. If said weapons are used in an attack on Russia, then the country furnishing the weapons is guilty of attacking Russia, and thus at war with Russia. The big deal with the ATACMs is that they are a long range missile, thus tempting the Ukrainians to use them against Russian territory.

ATACMS range isnt that far and Ukraine are beginning production of their own long range cruise missiles. Its that fact that ATACMS are relatively quick to target at something, are accurate and there is no way to shoot them down.

They fly higher than any counter measue Russia has and are travelling at 3 or 4 times the speed of sound at impact.

It'll be a suicide mission for any command and control centres within its range.

Seems the attacks during Blinken mission have swayed his mind that attacks inside Russia are OK. I expect to see longer range weapons and F 16s appear in Ukraine arsenal soon.

Good info there, just goes to show exactly what we are dealing with.

This is shocking stuff, and now Zelenski has threatened to unleash these people on Europe if the money/weapons stop flowing

The Polish government has agreed to extend a ban on Ukrainian grain imports unilaterally, even if the current EU restrictions expire on 15 September, AFP reports.

“Regardless of the (European) commission’s further decision, we will not open the border to Ukrainian grain after that date,” the government said in a statement.

The statement said the government was still looking to extend the ban at the EU level but would do so in any case.

“If Brussels does not keep the embargo, we will introduce these measures ourselves … The interests of the Polish countryside are most important to us,” it said.

Just to clarify the context that has been left out of this non-cited post, Poland and the other states who called for this ban have been allowing Ukrainian grain into Poland for onward transportation to other countries. What they are not doing (alongside other neighbour states, including Romania) is allowing Ukrainian grain to be sold within Poland, because it is cheaper than domestically produced grain and is having an impact on their farmers.

Zelensky needs European governments to expel Ukrainians, so that he can conscript them into the army and send them to the front. Zelensky is rapidly running out of troops as the counter offensive has dessimated the Ukrainian military. He's also losing support by the day as 78% of Ukraine's blame him for the corruption, according to the Kiev Independent newspaper.
Zelensky is on his last legs and it's only a matter of time before the Americans ditch him. As they ditched those in Iraq, Libya and Afghanistan who did their bidding. Hence all the unfavourable stories appearing in the US, UK and European MSM. The Telegraph ran a, 'Ukraine is losing story badly' story the other day. Something they'd never of dreamed of running a few months ago, even though they were.
Peace talks are the only way to end this war which was designed by the Americans to 1) attempt to damage Russia and 2) to wage trade war against Germany. The first they've failed to do, but have succeeded in the second. A final defeat for the Americans proxy war in Ukraine will reverberate throughout the world as it did after their debacle and humiliating defeat in Vietnam. It is no coincidence that countries in Africa are kicking out their former colonists, as the did in the 1970s. This time around, the US"s direct military presence on that continent is now put under pressure.

I think the political class have to tread carefully in Poland between pleasing organisations like the EU and NATO and not angering their own population.

The burden of looking after a million displaced Ukrainians for a population of 41 million will be placing massive strains on Polish society. The Poles have moved to end benefits to many Ukrainians.

The clown Zelenky doesnt help matters though: a year ago he was telling the Poles that they hadn't killed two Polish citizens with one of their surface to air missiles that landed inside Poland and that Warsaw was lying; and certainly his implying that a million of them could be used against countries like Poland to create civil disorder is beyond insane.
