Lockheed Martin is an American aerospace manufacturer - when there's a conflict their share price rises, and often they are relied upon by the US government to be the producer of choice for the next rounds of military spending.
Re TSMC chips, they're Taiwanese produced and a very important component of the vast majority of modern day electronics.

Not suggesting anything. Just wondering why Vlad has done what he has done when, to this observer, Russia was reasonably sound part of the world order. Not perfect, who is, but what does he actually get from it?

Defend Russia, it’s invasion and the tens of thousands of deaths by all means, but do not pretend to know anymore about it than anyone else….

My former advisor became the Vice Chancellor of Cambridge; I remember her telling me Cambridge was celebrating its 700th anniversary and this blew my mind. (wouldn't make me irritated, though, as an American)

You have one side of the story, and one that is easily available to most in this country due to the massive reach the media in the west has here. I’ve looked at both sides and have come to the conclusion we are in an ideological battle for a multi polar world. Which, if it came about, would benefit everyone.
Ukraine is merely the chessboard in which this is being played out.
