totally unsurprising. According the cold war warriors here, Putin is globally hated.

In reality the hate/heat is generated by the anglo-saxon cabal and its acolytes which I would estimate as total 20% of the worlds population, with the other 80% supporting Putin or being indiffferent.

In a way I think that's helpful.

I take a slightly different line than you in that I see the invasion as the issue that has to be seen as the reason we are where we are. However, I do think that Russia not being isolated is very important.

The BRICS are taking a very pragmatic line on Russia. Along with the Chinese it has to be said that the majority of the world's popualtion as represented by their governments are not hostile to Russia. Of course, we in the west dont see it that way but that's the truth of it.

BRICS is just about self preservation and growth for these nations, they see it as an opportunity to change the stairs quo (which I can understand). I highly doubt they back what putin is doing but they’re already heavily invested in BRICS and Russia, they can’t bail now

The fact that they aren't helping Russia out with weapons tells you enough. They support Russia economically but don't support the war effort.
