My point is not to deny that Putin is a would be imperial expansionist, and the grab for land in Crimea and now in southern Ukraine and the east is proof that he would like that. He wields power on the basis of fulfilling that national chauvinism.

But you dont see that there's another imperial grab for power. You dont allow for that. I dont know why.

He wields power on the basis of filling his and his mafia henchmens bank accounts.

But it’s not a power grab at all. Nations apply to join NATO of their own free will. They’re not forced at the barrel of a gun.

There’s 31 countries in NATO. If you take into account the combined size of standing professional armies of just U.K., US and Turkey then that’s over 1million.

Yet Russia had to empty its prisons, has done a few recruitment campaigns, had to use the Wagner mercenaries, is trying to recruit from surrounding countries and also Cuba…why is that…is it possible that they don’t actually have the troops they’ve been telling the world, surely they wouldn’t tell fibs…….

There’s 31 countries in NATO. If you take into account the combined size of standing professional armies of just U.K., US and Turkey then that’s over 1million.

Actually, US has 3 million by themselves with 1.3 million ready to respond. Turkey has close to 500k. NATO has more personnel plus more advanced weaponry that would thwart any conventional conflict in its tracks to be sure. Nuclear equation nobody wins.

I'm guessing being a mercenary means you end up getting paid. If they've pillaged and plundered there's a few that might think it's time for the beach. Thinking of signing up? Might not fancy front line against a lot of nations ammunition donations.

If it was such an easy win, nato which actually does have a track record of intervening in non-nato disputes, would surely stroll into Ukraine and eject the Russians within a few weeks because as we know Putin is too scared to go nuclear
