NATO doesn't admit any country that has a border dispute. Russias invasion of Crimea in 2014 was enough to stop Ukraine joining NATO.

They’ve previously quite happily got involved in non nato countries with disputes including carpet bombing them so not convinced by that

Not the same as admitting a member state that would immediately invoke Article 5, and you know it.

We do know nato will interfere when it feels it can bully people into submission though.

I dont see that as an issue, as according to everyone here they would finish off Russia without problems, and Russia would be too scared to nuke NATO anyway

Fairly straightforward for NATO I would think, I am sure they could finish this off without much bother.

I don't think NATO has any desire to get into a war with Russia. I don't think Russia has any desire to get into a war with NATO either.

If they got into a non-nuclear war, I think Russia has clearly demonstrated over the past 18 months that it would be no match.

If it were a nuclear war, there would obviously be no winners
