To be fair, they arnt the only ones. As I said, each country or leader will do whats in their best interests. The i'm alright Jack mentality is the reason the world is at this point. Same people screaming about Russia show no interest in the Yemeni plight. Governments angry at Russia but fund Saudi.

You agree with what Trump says; that simply declaring a democracy as “independent” is justification for an invasion condemned by the vast majority of the rest of the world.

The problem is it’s not the Italian (or German, or Hungarian, or British) population that is the problem, it’s the compromised leadership, media and associated lobbyists / lawyers (at least here).
Yeah, think we can all agree after reading everything Trump has said about Putin that he would take a real hardline stance against him. Ffs Zat, get in the bin. The only difference if Trump was in charge would be that there would be zero sanctions, not even the pathetic ones Biden has implemented so far
A good summary. Although a Ukranian victory is nowhere near assured based on the current circumstances, neither is a Russian victory.
The fact that the Russia army is already falling behind schedule and is still not holding key objectives is a positive for the Ukrainians.
Anyone championing or agreeing with Trump here needs to take a long hard look at themselves.

Surely being on the edge of the capital within 24 hours would be viewed as reasonable progress? I can't see how this is going well for Ukraine when Russia have only sent in a proportion of their soldiers and already are in multiple cities.

TBF “will” is everything there; not so much in terms of fighting troops but whether they are going to fight for every street / block, knowing what that will do to the citizens and the city.
