Quite the strategistThat was all part of the cunning plan…..
Forward thinking. Mutzo glad you continue to provide exhaustive knowledge for myself and others in layman’s terms. Helps with the big picture. Thank you.Apparently they’re being carried by SU-24’s. Poland modified the Ukranian aircraft to be able to carry the missile. So this has been in the planning pipeline for sometime. This also means that these weapons are in play right now.
Unlike NATO aircraft, they don’t have a data link between the aircraft and the missile and need to be pre-programmed before launch.
I don't know if either of you realise this but people do plan for various contingencies, you know.
The Russians annexed Kherson and lost it again like a month later. I don’t no how anyone can argue it’s going to plan. As you say they have been sending men in to the meat grinder to try and take Bakhmut for months. It is incredible that no matter how badly Russia performs in this war there are still people who will argue its all going to plan.
What contingency would involve wasting tens of thousands of men to not take a small town?

By running out of ammo, troops and tanks??
Skillz
Why do you assume the war against Ukraine is the whole of the plan?
What strategic goals is it serving as part of a grander strategy?
He didn't say that. He asked you indirectly why you believe that it's all going to plan for Russia. And you deflected with this response. Why do you assume the war against Ukraine is the whole of the plan?

I only jump in on this because having read the last 30 odds pages, I would be interested to see you respond properly to it.
Probably the goals include to isolate "the West" from the rest of the world, to distract us from competition with them and China in the rest of the world, to prevent Western interventionism of the kind the US favoured for most of the post-1945 era, to reform the global order into one that benefits them more, to achieve political change in the West via economic damage and to prevent further expansion of the EU (and if possible break it up).
