As stated previously, the kinzhal missile is not a hypersonic missile like Russia claims, but rather an air-launched ballistic missile that as shown, can be taken out with Patriot. A lot of people in the Pentagon will be analyzing the track and intercept data and high-fiveing each other.

Remember kids, Russia speaks - Russia lies

The remnants of the missile will also be shipped westward fairly soon to be analysed. As you said, the whole 'hypersonic' aspect was debunked early on.

I wonder when the T-14 et al. will be debunked.

I think the T-14 bluff has already been called. Reports say the Russian front-line commanders don’t trust it and refer to it as not fit for combat.

Be nice to see one or two smoked by a CR2 though.

The fact they haven't used it or the T-15 in Ukraine apart from sporadic fire-supporting missions, rather than actual combat, says a lot to me.

At some point though, one will be captured and the web of lies covering all their deficiencies will come to the fore.

I have extreme doubts about that story - firstly those sorts of things aren't something you could conceal the failure of; they are by their very nature switched on all the time and are so powerful that any interruptions would be detected (especially the one in Kaliningrad which is entirely surrounded by NATO countries). This is one of the reasons why ELINT missions are still flown, and will always be flown, along their border and why there are satellites dedicated to capturing emmisions from them.

Plus there is what he claims is about to happen (emphasis added):

The VChK-OGPU Telegram channel reports that a scandal is about to break over a component substitution scam that it says has crippled Russia's early warning radars.

Russian media is almost entirely state controlled, and that is absolutely critical national security information. Who over there is going to break that story if it was genuine and embarrassed the Russian government? Even over here the leaker would be found and imprisoned for a very long time for making things like that known, especially at a time like this, and the media outlet that did it would come under a lot of pressure too.

Tbf, I think most would have guessed that this was coming ;)

Yeah, the Russian military is showing no signs of the damage of corruption at all.

Again though you can nick AKs and tank engine bits, barrels of fuel, ammo and other supplies fairly easy - there is a ready market for all of it at home and abroad and there was that much of the stuff floating around that noone is going to miss it. Their stockpiles of most things are, as the Ukrainians are finding out, vast even after the pilfering.

Its rather more difficult to loot a national defence radar system that you, your enemies and your bosses can easily detect whether or not it works consistently and effectively. The thing is literally required to be switched on all the time.
