You may not have noticed but the Donbass Volunteer Militias, with the assistance of Russian forces, have decimated the Ukraine military - 100 000 plus dead and hundreds of thousands wounded, according to an ex US military Colonel, Richard Black. Carry on living in the 'fantasy land' that the Russian military couldn't punch it's way out of a wet paper bag.

The US Empire is THE biggest threat to world peace and needs to be defeated.

The Minsk Agreement was supposed to bring peace as was Zelensky - but he couldn't stand up to the fascists and was forced to enroll them into the institutes of the state.

Russia needs to stand up, remove this man from office, round up every single conspirator and take them in handcuffs to The Hague. They need to pay for the needless damage they have caused in Ukraine, apologise to the World, be removed from any International positions of leadership and hope that within a generation or two the World forgets what you've done. Get back to living. Build things instead of breaking them.

This is what great powers do. A quick review of world history would show you that it doesn't matter which one is bossing the show. 20th Century advances in power projection capabilities mean you're going to see great powers throw their weight around with more frequency these days.

There's quality research out there that supports this contention. IIRC, we played around some with square-of-the-distance models for power projection a few years before the paper in question was published. We found inferior results because we didn't come up with as sophisticated a way of dealing with technological change as those authors did.

I take it it is a criticism of the support given to Vietnam and Laos against the US Empire? For supporting Angola's and Mozambique's military fight against Apartheid South Africa?
