It's been brewing, or fermenting possibly, for a while.

@bluestevon has attempted to portray himself as the more reasonable one of the three Putin stooges, a more nuanced and passive aggressive sort of propaganda machine with superfluous 'mate' additions to his posts which add a flavour of false friendship in what i can only assume is an attempt to manipulate people's view of him as positive.

Not bothered whatsoever on people's views on me on a footy forum actually, this thread has 5-6 posters who posts regularly who despite differing opinions on a lot of things I find well worth reading, sometimes a different perspective on something brings more understanding, some may just view the threads trying to better understand what's happening also.

But a lot of the posts are made by posters who literally have said nothing but junk all the way through the thread, occasionally throw in a snide post, or jump in a group - and it's schoolyard stuff.

The moment i worry about someone's opinion of me who thinks it's funny to crack a joke about a plane crashing into an apartment block and burning to death, men women and children such as you did, purely because they're Russian is a time I'll give up mate.

I actually hope more of your war planes crash into Russian apartment blocks and kill many many more innocent civilians.
Maybe then you might get an understanding of what the innocent civilians in Ukraine are being subjected to by your war mongering hero.

The exact mindset that saw many across the middle east celebrating 9/11, thought it was an evil way of thought then, think you saying that is pure spite and evil now.

And that's an entirely fair point to have, I've said numerous times whilst I understand why it happened I never supported anything that's been done since Feb.

Why has Putin retained support, it's pretty obvious in many regards. Because his chosen action has now gone way beyond it being about him alone, sanctions, NATO effectively being as close to direct involvement as possible - and pretty unabashed Russiaphobia everywhere you now look, it all feeds into the 'us' vs 'them' narrative, and looking at the speeches over time, that element has become more and more prevalent from Russia and is being used to maintain support for Putin.

Me? Nah. I just want to see you and your comrades suffer the same fear, terror and uncertainty as those poor innocents in Ukraine.
