Tell you what, these AFU planning teams have played another absolute blinder here, just like they did at Izyium and Lyman.

They are hitting the right points of the Ru defensive lines - smashing through and flanking / encircling their enemy.

I can only summise that they own the EW battlefield as well as they are always 2-3 steps ahead of the Russians.

Also interesting to note is that the word coming from Ru POW’s is that their arty support is not working anymore - thanks to HIMARS.

You’d think the issue for the Ukrainian’s will be can they hold the land they have taken. If they keep pushing they will need to leave troops to defend the territory they have taken as well as troops needed to continue to advance.

Reckons Biden (or Pedo Pete as he's taken to calling him) has set it up to provoke Putin into launching a nuke.

I don’t profess to be a military expert of any kind but what’s the general feeling from those ITK about the causes of what’s seemingly a full-scale collapse of the Russians?

Obviously Ukraine are boxing clever around supply lines etc but still…

And all this even before the rag-tag band of trampy conscripts arrive.

If you look at it objectively Russia started this “SMO” with about 190K troops. Estimates reveal that they’ve lost about 60K killed and about 120K wounded/MIA. They have brought in PMC’s, emptied Kaliningrad’ mobilised the Donbas and brought more reserves from the east but IMO they don’t have enough troops to maintain proper defensive lines over the entire area (which is massive).

So the Ukes have attacked the Ru C2 and logistics hubs with long range precision strikes, shattered the Ru comms networks, then launched lightening strikes against the weak points in their lines. They then moved quickly to trap Ru troop concentrations and then whack them.

The Ukes are well trained, well equipped motivated professionals who fight like lions and with lots of weapons and support from the West. Meanwhile the Russians are poorly trained, poorly equipped, with little or no leadership and poor morale. Their arty support has been stripped away and they don’t have air superiority (in fact if a Russian aircraft flies it probably dies). In summary they’re a mess.

Apart from the pro-Russians who may have already fled, this is Ukrainian territory and as such there won’t be a need to secure a mass populous.

As long as the front line holds, 2nd/3rd rate troops and police will fulfil the role.

I hesitate to ask but curiosity has got the better of me - did he explain the logic of a) why Biden/Pete would want to provoke Putin into launching a nuke b) why a strike at the pipeline would achieve that aim ?

Nope. And I genuinely didn't want to pursue it further. As I say I think he's gone a bit mad living in his ranch with just cats for company in Texas.

Smart lad too, just goes to show how even the brightest can go off the deep end with too much Internet and Fox news.
