In the last 2 days Putin has been publicly been slapped down by first Xi and now Modi.

Armenia is now in full blown conflict with Azerbaijan and Khazakstan is on the verge of all out war with Tajikistan.

Meanwhile the Ukes continue to kick the crap out of Russias finest.

It’s all falling apart for poor little Vlad.

its Kyrgyzstan that is having the border issue with the Tajiks, not Khazakstan - and it probably is not going to be an "all out war" so much as a reordering of the frankly mad border in that area

also reports of the slapping-down of Putin is a bit of an exaggeration - they said they had concerns (and Modi went further than Xi did) but concrete actions weren't that visible

Their concerns hopefully reduced the chances of tactical nukes been deployed though.

Forgive me. It was late and I’d had a few ?.

Still think both actions by Xi and Modi were significant and display a lack of trust in Putin’s current policy.

Who knows what and is, going on behind closed doors, but I’d wager that Putin is now left scratching his nuts wondering what to do next.

He’s losing the war in Ukraine, his biggest allies have shown their distrust in him and There’s open warfare in a number of Rus/Asiatic nations.

Reuters pulled its story on Izyum.

This from the Telegraph.

Anton Herashenko, an advisor to the Ukrainian interior ministry, told the BBC on Thursday that about 1,000 bodies had been found in Izyum and that more civilians had died there than in Bucha.
The Telegraph did not see any evidence of that scale of death during a visit on Thursday. Hrigory[, a 63-year-old civil engineer ,] denied knowledge of any war crimes.
“We didn’t interact with them, and they didn’t interact with us,” he said of the Russians. “From what I know, there wasn’t detentions, executions, torture.”
“There were a lot of young men who would say ‘we won’t shoot any bullets,’” he added.

Oleksandr Filchakov, the head of the Kharkiv prosecutor's office, said some showed signs of torture. Reporters at the scene did not see proof of that.

These type of stories are deliberately put out. As someone wrote, "It is not the 'fog of war' that clouds such new reporting. It is the propaganda that was ordered up to incite the 'western' population against Russia and its citizens and soldiers". Including derogatory terms against Russians. Unfortunately for the west, 87% of the world don't buy into such propaganda and are still trading with Russia and accepting Russians into their countries.

The reality is though, those in the Donbass will continue fighting, a fight that started in 2014 when there was a coup against the democratically elected Yanukovych, The Donbass will never be part of Ukraine now, they voted with their feet in 2014 and neither will the Crimea, which has voted to join Russia. Despite the bluster 'Putin is losing the war' and 'the Russian army is crap' (despite oddly claiming it would take over all of Europe), far from it. At this moment in time, this is the best opportunity for the Ukrainian people to call for a ceasefire, and a negotiated settlement, while there is a semblance of a viable Ukraine. Zelensky can claim they are 'negotiating from a position of strength', after the Ukrainian army's adventure into the Kharkiv region.

These reports just highlight the ridiculous nature of the propaganda that was being pumped into the media telling everyone what a danger to Poland and the Baltic States, Finland and Sweden the mighty Russian military machine were. Can they be both things at the same time?

The perception by the west that Russia presented a threat of invasion to these nations was real at the time, however given the events of the last few months, those views I guess are being re-aligned, due to the piss-poor performance of the Russian forces.

However they still possess a large number of artillery and short/medium range ballistic missiles as well as a credible strategic bomber force. Therefore it would be prudent to maintain vigilance and prep along the baltic states, Finnish and Polish borders.

The only coup was the one which overthrew Yanukovych mate, and that sure as hell wasn't a coup led by the Russians.

In the areas of Kharkiv right now for anyone being of Russian ancestry/sympathy - especially so if you have worked under the occupation for any institution under Russian control is going to lead to a lot of 'dissapeared' civilians. Magnify that ten fold for the areas with a huge ethnic Russian population should they be retaken.

Note,nothing in this post is apologizing for anything done, it's saying that not looking at the full picture of what is and will happen is ignoring lessons of history - the exact same as in WW2, the Nazis rolled through - killed pro Russians, the Russians later in the war took the area back and killed pro Germans.

The same thing undoubtedly is occuring now (on both sides) - but only one of these is being reported by ANY main stream media. Pretty much every story being filed on this is from a reporter sat in Kiev, or in an office in Europe, which means Ukraine completely control the narrative of what is seen how it is seen and who they allow access to it. That shouldn't sit well with anyone wanting to know what is really occurring.

Will take years after this is all over for the full truth of events to come out, if they ever fully do.

It's 8 years on from the Odessa trade union house and 40+ pro Russian men, women, children being locked inside and burnt alive by Azov, and people are buying their branded merchandise on line thinking they're cool. So yeah not too optimistic about people waking up
