NATO had a good go at genocide in Iraq. Figures of the dead are estimated at anything from 250,000 to close to a million. After the initial Gulf War when Saddam Hussein could easily have been taken from power. The US recognised that it would lead to uncontrollable civil unrest. But they obviously had to invade again because of those WMDs,that still prove illusive.

According to reports, the Russians have lost a hell of a lot of their rolling stock. If you put this aside the Ukrainian attacks on transports hubs and logistics...

... It may not be a case of not wanting to resupply their forces but rather an inability as getting men and materials to the front is too much effort and risk.

Whatever the reason if the reports are true then you’ve got to wonder what the moral/fighting capabilities of those Russian troops in the other Ukraine areas will be.

Fighting a motivated enemy with no sign of resupply/relief on the horizon isn’t something that generally has a lot of people signi up for I’d assume.
