Wow, you really do have absolutely no clue whatsoever do you lad.

A State of change
A nascent democracy.

You have any idea what actually happened under Yeltsin mate, those comments say you don't, have any idea what was the nascent democracy you speak of was - nope you don't plainly - that much is flipping obvious.

Yes mate that was Russian nascent democracy you speak of - front cover of time boasting openly about how the US decided who would be Russian president.

The man utterly detested by Russian people

The majority of the Russian people overwhelmingly seem to support a leader intent on genocidal conquistition of a neighbour sovereign state.

I'm not overly swayed by their character judgement to be fair.

As long as Russia is seen to be strong they’re okay with:

Releasing chemical weapons in the U.K. killing innocents and destroying the lives of others.

Raping women and children in Ukraine

Cutting the bollocks and ears off POW’s before murdering them

Deliberately targeting civilian infrastructure (shopping malls, residential apartments, Power stations)

Murdering civilians for sport

But as long as Russia is strong then that’s okay. Oh and everybody just be aware that whoever comes after Putin will be worse!!!

Russia is infected with a sickness and only the decent Russian people can heal her, unfortunately there’s not many of them left.

Going into all of this back at the beginning of the year, I spoke of how well known it is that the Russian military is a bloated, ill trained, ill equipped force crippled by corruption throughout its ranks. I think it was inevitable that this was not going to run smoothly at all for them. The only real surprise is just how badly they've cocked this all up. You'd think sheer numbers alone would have pushed them far enough into Ukraine to at least get into a strong negotiating position.
They never got far enough into the country, struggled to hold on to much and are now being firmly routed.

The worry is of course, is that their options for any sort of gains here are running out - if they can't devote more troops as mentioned above, where do they go next?

Well if the BBC CNN etc are to be believed they are going to sweep through the rest of the Ukraine and then Poland and the Baltic States, hence why Finland and Sweden had to join Nato. Bizzare no?

An intelligent post mate, yup it was and is, the command infrastructure is antiquated.

The last point is the scary one. Well to anyone with a modicum of sense anyways.

According to reports, the Russians have lost a hell of a lot of their rolling stock. If you put this aside the Ukrainian attacks on transports hubs and logistics...

... It may not be a case of not wanting to resupply their forces but rather an inability as getting men and materials to the front is too much effort and risk.

Ok you ignored the entire point of the post and deflected it (wow it's not just me doing that huh).

So yes the majority of Russian people in the 90s msssively supported a Russian leader who made Russia stronger, wow it's shocking isn't it.

Tactically sending reinforcements and resupplies into a churning pot is madness mate

I'm not talking about the 90's though, I'm more concerned about present day.

"The majority of the Russian people overwhelmingly seem to support a leader intent on genocidal conquistition of a neighbour sovereign state."

I think that is the issue people have with the majority of the Russian population currently, as well they should too.

There's a nuclear powered plant that's being kept from melting down on the lowest electric supply possible
Zaporizhzhia's reactor might end up being cooled by diesel generators, join the dots.
