The much vaunted Russian Army, is being embarrassed on the world stage. Putins losses will never be declared. He daren’t go for full mobilisation because the game would be up, and tbh no one would join. Gorbachev put the USSR on a path to the modern era, Putin is taking it backward. As long as the west (U.K. & USA ) keep supporting Ukraine they will eventually win. Once Putin is gone things will be sorted…..

THis could be a LOOOONNGG time though. He isn't going any where. His murderous mission will continue, he will not back down and will ilkely lash out as he nears defeat.....

I was hoping his plane would get popped en route to the middle east the other day.

How is purging Russian spies and the incompetent during the middle of a war the act of a tyrant? The main reason for Russia's success in the South is because Ukraine's military and intelligences agencies in those parts were so compromised that the Russians just strolled through. Same in many other parts of Ukraine. Like actually read the article.

I'm guessing it's because tyrants tend to blame lack of success on subordinates, and can consider any opinions differing from their own (no matter how sensible and realistic) as treason, rather than accept them as valid points of view. Personally, the shifting of these particular guys sounds much more like getting rid of idiots, or those actually in league with the enemy, but thought I'd try to put the 'tyrant' theory forward, just for clarity.

6 more weeks of similar gains and the Ukrainians will be talking about re-taking Odessa.

Lavrov talking about moving along the south coast. Turkey and UN broker deal for grain exports from Odessa region which would require Ukraine to de-mine their coastal waters. If I were putting 2 and 2 together and thought Russia would take advantage...

It's certain the longer the war lasts the more civilian casualties. Even Nato military advisors are saying that the probable outcome is that Russia will annexe the greater part of the Donbass and then will be drained over the years having to man and maintain the extended border against guerilla attacks from Ukraine which will fullfil the aims of the US to weaken Russia long-term. A ceasefire now would fullfil that aim now without more Ukrainian women and children suffering.

The whole world knows this, I mean literally - it's not happening though.

I guess you are one of those "if you don't share my view you are Russian bot". No I'm not Russian bot, as a Croat i feel toward Ukraine as my fraternal nation, i got no love toward Russia whatsoever, especially because of their connection with our "loving neighbor.

Just get used to it,if you don't quote the US/Nato version of accounts by default you are in the pay of the Kremlin.?

Ukraine want their territory back. Russian forces are depleted. Ukraine will go from strength to strength and with western arms versus 1950 Russian stuff will retake their land. Your support of Russia is admirable and provides another view, but tbh Ukraine will grind them down and out and even Crimea, which I’ve always said was Russian, will eventually fall…it won’t stop until Russia is forced out…..

Got to love those 1950s vintage hypersonic missiles. Cruise missiles are so yesterday though.?

They strolled through the South and took Kherson, Meletipol and encircled Mariupol within the first two weeks of the war with minimal resistance (apart from in Mariupol) because the people in charge were Russian assets. You been following the war at all?
