Dmitry Medvedev, Russia’s former president who is now deputy head of its security council, struck a defiant tone though, signalling that Moscow was ready to do whatever it took in order to prevail, Reuters reported.

“Russia will achieve all its goals. There will be peace – on our terms,” Medvedev said.

"Himars are credited with destroying more than a dozen Russian ammunition depots lying miles behind the front line."

We need MORE Himars!
I’m drawing similarities between the effect and potential impact of HIMARS/M270 to the Iraqi Scuds in 91.

Russian high command is seriously worried by them and had issued a kill at all costs order to its Spetsnaz and Wagner units in an effort to track them down and destroy them.

They have destroyed most of the Ru toward deployed supply depots forcing the RuAF to supply their artillery units from way back (200Km) from the front lines. This means their logistics chain is severely stretched and very vulnerable to partisan and aerial interdiction. They have been forced to run arty shells to the forward deployed batteries using convoys of civilian cars.

The result is that they are now unable to provide the concentrated massed arty support as a month ago. This means that their infantry and APC’s have to advance without arty support and are open to Ukranian forces malleting them with their own arty, as per @PhilM - the L119’s supplied to Ukraine will now come into effect and cut their infantry too pieces.

It feels like a minor levelling of the playing field, Putin boys getting some payback, not great for all concerned but, as I said before, needs must.

The Spetsnaz/Wagner stuff, intriguing, I imagine they're being deployed into very high security positions, could get very spicy.

And now Ukraine will threaten Crimea…and any ships there….
