2025/26 Tyrique George

Hmm not sure. If someone offered me two steaks, one which was good, one which was very decent, I’d go with the latter.

In general, "good" is better than "very decent". While "good" implies positive quality and solid satisfaction, "decent" is an understatement meaning "acceptable" or "just good enough". Adding "very" to "decent" softens it further, usually signaling it was merely satisfactory.

A simple way to rank these everyday descriptors from highest to lowest is:

Excellent / Great: Outstanding
Good: Positive quality, enjoyable, or well-done
Very Decent: Safe, satisfactory, or "better than bad but nothing special"

He’s a good player (better than very decent) and could be great one day (better than very good) but I don’t see him as a priority

If we can sign Hackney and George and still have the ability to bring in two full backs, a proper striker and Grealish without selling anyone we don’t want to then we’re gonna have a very very good window

So I hope we do sign him, but not at the expense of bigger priority positions

Id only sign him if we see him getting genuine mins in the team.

Dont want another Alcaraz, clearly a good player but what's the point really..............unless you get meaningful minutes - want it all to be aligned.

* Yes, also know everyone hates Davey Moyes this weather!

Impressed every time he's come on. Easiest decision to keep him. Moyes can do one if he thinks we can get better for £20m, or even worse if he still thinks McNeil is better.

….’impressed every time he came on’ except you said he was ‘abysmal’ when he came on in the Derby
