2025/26 Tyler Dibling

Bit of a stretch there. Ronaldo still looked good, still went past people and still put good balls in. Ronaldo looked sharper than most even at that time. Dibling hasn't shown any of that. I hope it's a confidence thing and he does come good, but the more we see him the less likely it seems. It's mad we spent so much money on a player like that.
One day that'll look like a bargain *taps nose*

Stick Ndiaye back on the right, get someone on loan for the rest of the season to play on the left because McNeil isn't good enough and then let Dibling have a break and introduce him slowly to build up his confidence again.

I can understand what a lot of people are saying. He is desperately struggling with confidence particularly at home and that squared ball which was going to noone was a key part of believing that. I think a player like him needs some psychological input. He needs to be able to tranform the weight of pressure he feels at hill dickinson and try to embrace the pressure and thrive in it. At the moment i'm in two minds with him.

Either the footballing brain isnt there or its just the pressure. Im inclined to feel its the latter. Because he has shown good form in a few away matches where he has looked promising. But im still on the fence as to whether he will make it for us, im really unsure.

Until Dibling gets the ball, and his first thought is to attack the full back, before another opposition player has the chance to double up on him, then he'll struggle. Its either he's taking it upon himself to do that or Moyes is telling him not to do it. Because if he does take the full back on, and get to the byline and cross, there is only one player in the box. That is sort of how we scored, with Gueye providing the cross, so Dibling should be encouraged to do the same more often.

when he has had a go I always thought he looked petrified to try anything because he didn’t want to cock - up.

Last night for me was the game that should have seen him really having a go. We were all over Leeds, the crowd was bouncing, I thought he would have been buzzing off that but he still looks scared. Also, don’t understand why when he lays the ball off he just walks forward instead of making runs demanding the ball back. The lad really is a strange conundrum.
