2025/26 Tyler Dibling

Surprised how one-footed Dibling was - always wanting to come inside. Want him to do well, but don't understand why left-footers are played on the right when getting to the byline and crossing would create better scoring opportunities. Surely professional footballers should be able to kick with left and right feet!
That said, not seen anyone as one-footed as McNeal.

I like him.

Dudes only a kid.

Played a tactical role tonight imo, Leeds had a narrow compact low block with the same in midfield protecting them, his instruction was to hug the by line and stretch the back four to create space - he did that.

He did a very clever decoy run setting Idrissa away at one point, which I enjoyed.

Hel be fine, his talent is well known in the game, even if takes him a year or two to come into the fakest of his powers….still be 21.

Myko and Digne would take him close, although Myko was forced to clear with his right foot tonight, I was amazed.

Hate this kids attitude. Toal misplaced arrogance. Strolls about like he owns the place. Totaly lacks effort.
He's getting found out with every passing game.
People making excuses for him, "he's only 19.." If someone had given me an Everton shirt when
I was 19, I would be chasing every ball, flying into every tackle.

For me, he simply doesn't care, wants away, maybe thinks he's too good for this club. Wants an easier root to success.
Wants to be at City or Chelsea and gifted medals for playing 20 mins now and again.

Always seems to be standing still when he gets the ball, so immediately has two players on him. Maybe it’s because we tend to be chasing a game when he’s on and the opposition are playing deeper.

Doesn’t help that he just isn’t very quick though.

Devoid of any confidence.
Evidenced when he didn’t take that shot on.

He could have scored and become a hero but no.

He doesn’t look happy.
We were warned about his homesickness.

Shame cos he looks a talent if we could get him playing with a smile on his face.

That piece of skill he done to set Barry free down the right was sublime. Barry then back heeled it ( it was a crap back heel tbh) but he obviously assumed his team mate was running behind him. Dibling had barely moved half a yard from his original pass.

Just a proper "ffs move kid, make things happen for yourself" moment. But that's all I've seen so far from him, someone who has a little glimpse of something, but looks like they're admiring the pass, instead of just a little movement, drop of the shoulder or a little burst and then demanding the ball.

Is that just confidence or lack of? I'm honestly not sure. I'm just not seeing it.

I don't see him getting the minutes with us under Moyes to justify the outlay. I'd loan him out, get someone else in. And loan him out to a Northwest club, not back to Southampton

A lot of talk about how Grealish is a perfect example for his play style, and he definitely is. But I'd love to see him watch Ndiaye more and try to emulate how assertive he is on the ball. Illi's first touch is so often a positive one going forward to shift the momentum of the attack, whereas the Grealish/Dibling plan of bringing the game to them by slowing things down is often counterproductive for the way we need to be playing.

Obviously Grealish is incredible at it, so it's fine when he does it. But just once I'd love to see Dibling get the ball and drive, use that strength and agility to unsettle the defence rather than taking on the double-up and trying to weasel out.

Maybe that's a confidence thing, and maybe it's more that Ndiaye is such a unique and incredible dribbler. But I reckon it's in Dibling's locker too.

He lacks heart at the moment.

Needs to be injected with some passion and desire.

I hate to think what his wages are but I’m sorry kid you are stealing a living at the moment. Up your effort and game and see what happens

This is mental, congratulations.

I’ve never wanted a player to start chewing gum now as much as I do with Tyler and I hope he chews it really lazily as well.
