2025/26 Tyler Dibling

Thought he was better today even if statistically he probably wasn't.

He tried to beat his man a couple of times and it nearly came off. Confidence will do him a world of good.

Should have shot when he had the chance, especially as we were on the up in that moment of play.

You can say he tried but he dribbled so slowly and aimlessly there was only going to be one outcome. Did the same move of running into the full back and getting crowded out 3 times.

Definitely playing with little confidence right now. Sadly I don't think that's going to change until he livens himself up on the pitch. So difficult for him to compete against physically much stronger players if he's only playing half heartedly himself.

Scared mate, simple as that.

I understand the frustration, he looks like he's never even played a Sunday league game..

Something will click, just dont know when..
You can tell that he has a lot of technical abilitt but that's only going to get you so far. There's no real intensity to most of his performances and he is making poor decisions on the ball.

It certainly can all click and come together but it's a concern at the minute.

I think he’s got the attributes to be a half decent player, but he constantly moves the ball into traffic. If he got it out his feet and crossed or shot with a bit more purpose, I think he’d be more successful.
I know it’s cliche, but hes 19. There’s a really technical player in there. Once he finds his feet especially with experience he’s going to be quality.

The price tag is for a reason his potential is massive!

The biggest encouragement I got today was that our players kept giving him the ball, even more than they gave it to Illy, so he must show a lot in training and they’re trying to bring it out in the game

I’d start him over McNeil next game no problem, he can’t do worse than McNeil first half

Even Mykolenko as a right winger would contribute more than McNeil

I hadnt seen much of him before we signed him so I'm not sure if he always plays with such a sullen demeanor but it'd be nice to see him look like he's enjoying his football - looks like he's got the weight of the world on his shoulders at times and it's not nice to see a kid his age looking like that.

Rather than judge to one extreme or another, would rather just say he probably needs some time. The version of him we are watching right now is probably the lowest ebb of confidence. NDiaye would have been there at one stage in his career, Grealish too. Would like to hope we have enough patience to wait to see him find his full flow.
