2025/26 Tyler Dibling

I don’t think people are expecting too much at all - just for him to run about a bit and show some aggression. What do we want Everton teams to be?

We can all see he’s got talent but he doesn’t look interested
I think he just needs some confidence. He’s clearly got ability, but that decision to square the ball instead of shooting smacks of a player not believing in himself. Understandable when he gets hooked or dropped every time he makes a mistake whereas McNeil stinks the place out every week and keeps getting picked.

Barney , genuine question....how was that his best cameo? I genuinely don't understand why when he gets the ball he doesn't try to beat his full back and stands still waiting for the opposition to double up on him.

When the ball breaks to him in the box he doesn't even have a shot.

I'm totally perplexed.

I have to be honest, the more I see him play the worse the deal to bring him in looks.

I don't know if the lad really isn't great or if Moyes hasn't got a Scooby what to do with him or both.

Thought he actually wanted the ball.
Thought he actually tried to take players on and move into space

Not been impressed at all by him so far (hes young, hes developing). But there were shoots of encouragement. Leeds were clearly worried about him.

Re-read what i said... not once did i say he was good. I just said it was his best cameo.

Theres a player in there, but when you're limited in playing time how are you meant to actually grow into the side?

So what do you do?
Apply the - If you can't say anything good, don't say anything at all - principle?
Nothing would ever change or get done then.
The behaviour you walk past is the behaviour you condone

Plenty on here just speaking as they find.

He's paid to play football - and he's not doing it at all well

What he 'might' do in the future is neither here nor there...and might not happen
No problem with criticism of any players performance but people could tone down the hot takes on how crap he is and his character. He’s a young player who needs a run of games

I thought he had a go last night. He’s not an out and out winger but was asked to play wide - no over lapping full back to help and he got doubled / tripled up on every time he got it (they didn’t bother doing that to Mikolenko I noticed)

He had multiple times to cross the ball though, and we’d just scored from a ball in to the box for Barry, and every time he just turned back and either lost it or passed it backwards. Then he crossed it when he should have shot! In all fairness though Everton possibly are the worst team in the league for crosses, we are awful at them.

Vault and be damned Sir.
He looks half asleep and half arsed.
Passed and didnt move.
Had a gold plated chance to test the keeper took the wrong option...you get 12yds out and you're putting your laces through it, might go right at the keeper, might burst the net, might end up in row Z, might be saved and bounce out for a tap in, might do anything - but only if you have a go.
The speed of a dustbin lid, the brains of a greyhound
Hes so  lazy laid back he makes Perry Como look like St Vitus

Makes you wonder what instructions he's operating under.
Or is he just plain 'kin dopey.
Still, he didnt sign himself did he?

Like I said - up to now - he's a total waste of £35mill

Whose fault that is, is the real question.
Oh this is duly bookmarked sir. Thank you for your entry.

19 years old and hounded by old men because they can’t maintain an erection. Let young Dibling be your lucky blue pill, you’ll have to be patient for a little while after consumption though.

The reason he gets doubled up is down to his own lack of decision making, its happened everytime he's played now. He doesn't want to go on the outside so defenders show him the line and know he'll dilly dally hoping to jink inside, 3 seconds of this and the oppo left midfielder comes in and they muscle him off the ball.
Rinse and repeat.

We are not talking about a lad who’s had 20 games here, or even a run of 4 or 5. He’s had 2 or 3 starts and is finding his feet.

Prefer to judge players after they’ve had a decent run in the side so you can see if they are learning / improving.

….continues to disappoint and we all continue to live in hope.

Armstrong said something interesting on joining PNE about the players testing him out in training and how he had to earn their respect. Ashley Young also said he gave Armstrong a ‘welcome’ when he joined the first team for training. I’d be certain that’s happened with Dibling, there’s no hiding place in training.

KDH clearly gave him a telling off when he cocked-up that great opening he had.

I noticed kdh shouting instructions at him also ,he should listen.

I agree with the comments that he looks devoid of confidence. He is a frustrating watch as he does seem to stand still and watch what happens after he passes a ball. I don't mind him trying to play like Grealish and attracting two players but then he just doesn't get his head up to pop the ball to someone else, he tries to take them on. He will learn but he reminds me (obviously not at the same level) of Ronaldo when he first went to Utd: kept hold of the ball too long, didn't cross the ball in quickly enough and tried to take on too many.

Feels like it may have been better to have signed him and loaned him straight back to Southampton to keep developing. We've spent a lot of money on him so hopefully he comes good.

Bit of a stretch there. Ronaldo still looked good, still went past people and still put good balls in. Ronaldo looked sharper than most even at that time. Dibling hasn't shown any of that. I hope it's a confidence thing and he does come good, but the more we see him the less likely it seems. It's mad we spent so much money on a player like that.

He could do with a loan. If he'd signed for a club with a bigger squad, he'd of probably stayed at Southampton on loan.
Unfortunately I don't think we would be able to replace him.
