2025/26 Tyler Dibling

Hard to find any positives in his performance today. But it’s not his fault we blew most of our summer transfer budget on him. I don’t understand the ‘fans’ around me today who were getting on his back all game. He’s a kid who is learning and probably won’t peak for another 4-5 years. Direct your anger at the recruitment team.
I would but I don't know where they sit

Where’s the motivation though when you’ve gone from being the star of your previous team to being told you’re basically not good enough to even play premier league football and you watch Dwight McNeil getting on ahead of you. Then when you do get a chance you’re hooked after 45 minutes when the whole team is playing rubbish and the constant narrative is that we’ll be fine once we get Ndiaye back. Then he’s thrown on with clear instructions not to play his normal game and just pass the ball backwards as soon as he gets it and don’t lose it. Then you wonder why he’s not busting a gut for us.

Its not "poor recruitment" to sign a highly talented 19 year old England u21 international footballer who performed well at the age of 18.

You can compare him last season with Harrison Armstrong this season.

Two huge prospects. Should we sign Armstrong for £40mil if he was at Wolves, West Ham or Burnley?

Its OBVIOUS that he is not being man managed well and Moyes underlined this with his comments last week.

Its good recruitment and poor management.

100% as every young player does.

Same as weve seen with Alcaraz. Went from a maverick last season to in a shell this season.

Same as Alcaraz. They know that if they try things they will be dropped. Doesnt matter if they come off and they get goals, assists or motm Moyes will drop them.

Armstrong has been away from Moyes and looks quality (like Dibling last season at the same age).

Aznou has not had a single minute from this manager and looks angry and also quality.

This manager has seriously got a lot to answer for with all 3 players at the moment.

Same as Alcaraz and his "unknown" injury. Hes probably asked for a move away from this coward.

Thats it. Put Grealish on the right in the exact circumstances and im sure he'd do better, because hes a different character and experienced.

But he'd be getting absolute pelters from the fans.

Moyes should have been doing this all season with Armstrong, Dibling and Aznou.

As it turns out, Aznou is playing angry, Dibling has lost all confidence and Armstrong was developed elsewhere.

Perhaps Moyes knows he cant develop young players at this point which is why he wants Armstrong to go back to Preston?
It might be bad management but when gets his chance he doesn't look bothered at all. He currently looks no where near so at the moment it is poor recruitment.

Honestly you would think he was like Kanchekskis at Southampton. Rather than someone who didn’t get a single assist, and was part of the worst team in Prem history.

Armstrong is twice the player of Dibling but I wouldn't pay £40 m for him.

Invest in potential by all means but not a third of our entire transfer budget on one player, especially one who appears to have a terrible attitude.

Whoever signed off on Dibling and Barry should be sacked on the spot.

Precisely and this is something in part why i want us to sign Norton-Cuffy for right back over Holm.

He's played with Dibling before for England u21s and will be able to sync together on the right long term.
I've never seen the kid play so I'm not going to offer an opinion but I don't want Moyes spending another penny .

Get us to safety and get rid of him.

Let a younger more progressive manager spend the dough in the summer.

This season is a write off.

I missed the first half. I thought he was fine in the second half. No worse than Armstrong and better than McNeil yet all the hate is aimed at Dibling due to his transfer fee.

First half they were all dreadful. Dibling was bad.

Second half he looked himself only when he came centrally for 2 or 3 minutes.

Rohl & McNeil were FAR worse than him over the game as usual. McNeil made one defence splitting pass (10 yard straight ball) and so i guess thats why he stayed on.

Dibling has to be given time and it appears to me that he should be used as a traditional 10 in this awful team.

Why dont you stop posting about him and save yourself the time it would take to actually watch some of his games at Southampton last season instead.

Because you clearly never saw him for them or for England youth.

Youre only commenting on random minutes hes thrown in and to anyone who has ever watched him play outside of Moyes management, he looks a different player.

You can say what you like about that but until you actually see him outside of Everton then you look a bit daft.

Were talking about the equivilent of Armstrong last season.

Do you think Armstrong is crap? How many goals and assists has he got for Preston in the championship?

Surely by your barometer he should be prime Alan Ball.

If everyone who watched him for Southampton & England youth posts saying he looks a different player and devoid of confidence then it should actually occur to you that one of them (whichever poster that may be) could be onto something.

Armstrong plays an entirely different position..He's not an attacker so ridiculous to compare assists and goals stats

I think with BNC though if we signed him he'd suit any young manager and if not we wouldnt lose money on him.

We do need a RB behind Ndiaye and Dibling. Patterson did well today but hes got to get away from the club for his own sake now.

We need to be buying players now to have them ready for preseason. To be developed this season.

That kid at Wolves, Mane would never get a game for Moyes. So like you say, we cant give Moyes money.

When you see him play for England, Carsley let's him play with that freedom and he is totally different than what we are seeing.
The quality in that England team and they all happily look for him.

You sign a player for what they offer, don't than try to restrict it or train it out of the player..

Which of these games were you particularly impressed by him in then….
