Transfer Rumour Tyler Dibling

He’s unproven in the premier league having never played there. Sorry, that’s just factually correct. There would be less risk buying an equivalent player who has played in the premier league. You can give me a list as long as your arm but it doesn’t change the facts.

If City bought Mbappe this Summer would you be going "oooo, that's a lot of money, he's unproven"?

We genuinely have the most clueless fan base on planet earth. Sigurdsson was an excellent footballer.

156 appearances, 31 goals, 25 assists all achieved in some pretty ropey teams. If you think he was “crap” then that says everything about your knowledge of the game.

Technically superb, could actually control a football, and could actually pass to a teammate. But because he didn’t run around like a headless chicken pub player and snap in to tackles, he was “crap”.

Bet you didn’t rate that “little Turkish midget” Osman either did you?
He was crap for the money. He achieved reasonable stats but servely limited the way we could play because of his complete lack of athleticism.

I've a feeling this one is already done.

We'll never know the fee other than ball park, it'll be undisclosed I reckon.

Sometimes you forget the other teams perspective. Soton fans will be gutted they're losing their crown jewel a week before the season starts.

So for them the narrative has to be spun by the club as thick scousers have overpaid, he's not that good anyway etc etc

Whereas our lot are hey were new and we get deals done and no one overcharges us

The truth is probably somewhere in between.

Yesterday was just one big PR ****ing contest 👍

And so could Fofana, Kubo, etc….. Any expensive players has its risks, but some fans turn a blind eye to that when there from abroad even tho they have never even seen them play. I just think Dibling knows what this league is all about, everybody who seen him last season could see he has talent, it just didn’t help he was in that Southampton team.
Yep Nicolas Pepe was the next big thing. Great in France , how much did the Arse pay ? £75 million? That turned out well.

Just goes to show you never know how a player rated in a different club or country will play for you.

Every purchase is a risk , some riskier than others

You cannot read. I just want to point out the exact number. A couple can mean 2,3,4 or 5 etc.

You’re odd. 8:29 in the morning and you pick a fight in a forum.

It doesn't. That's people using a couple wrong. A couple is two. A few is 3, 4 etc.

Imagine someone toasting the happy couple at a wedding and there was 5 of them.

The phrase "a couple of" typically means two in standard English usage. However, in informal contexts, some people use it to mean a small number, like three or occasionally four.

In the Oxford English Dictionary, "a couple of" generally means two. However, it's also commonly used informally to mean a few, which can imply a small number greater than two.

I absolutely LOVE this place sometimes.

Never actually seen this lad play but the figures concern me a bit. Seems a gamble for such a young player who played for a horrendous Southampton team, relegated to the Championship. Southampton can't be in the position to have the upper hand so I hope we don't get manipulated in to paying too much more.

Also don't want us to make the same mistakes we made in the Koeman-Moshiri era where we were spending £25m+ on players needlessly. Surely there would be better value options out there that are more proven and less of a financial risk...

That said, I trust Moyes judgement on the majority of his signings and if the club feel they can justify this signing, he wants to come and we get the deal done then i'll be happy.

And they are wrong to do so. My late English teacher Mum would have zero truck with this. Much like she would explode at people using less when it should be fewer. Use does evolve over time but that is mainly because we are getting lazier as a society and influenced excessively by barely literate US sub-cultures not because the rules of grammar magically change. There are genuine grey areas in English (the Oxford comma debate for instance) but this is not one of them.

In this occasion, we are not talking about wedding. I just wanna point out he got 2 U-21 caps. Couple of caps, according to the Oxford Dictionary can be 3 or 4. Some of you just became mental because of that.
