New signings are always successful until they playTo be fair to Bluewolf he has a point that Wirtz could bomb ala Nunez who they also spent huge on

Think i agree with this. Issue is the price Southampton want limits our profit but if we get 3 great seasons out of him it might be worth itI don’t think it’s a gamble at all. Dibling has played in the PL, he know what it’s about, and he played in arguably the worth PL team ever and yet still had his admirers. If he comes to us and scores between 5-10 goals we would easily make money on him.
Exactly. If we buy him for 40, keep him 3 years and sell him for 60, we still make around 44m on the books for PSR. It doesn’t take much nowadays for a player to be worth 60m either.Think i agree with this. And so could Fofana, Kubo, etc….. Any expensive players has its risks, but some fans turn a blind eye to that when there from abroad even tho they have never even seen them play. I just think Dibling knows what this league is all about, everybody who seen him last season could see he has talent, it just didn’t help he was in that Southampton team.….or he could be an expensive flop that we’re stuck with. The player has to be a success for his stock to rise but that’s the risk you take.
No he has Elliot on the right with I think Hutchison as back upWas Dibling part of the England u21 squad this summer? Has he ever been? I think Carsley is a good judge of a player and tends to back his own judgement rather than hype, so be interested to know
I do think Fofana is slightly further along his development, and maybe slightly less of a risk , fine margins though .And so could Fofana, Kubo, etc….. I'm not sure if you're being serious here.A) but not in the PL and he's now playing in the PL
B) Abdul Baba Rahman, Marko Marin, Shinji Kagawa, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Jadon Sancho, Christian Pulisic, Timo Werner, keita, Jean-Kévin Augustin, seb haller, leon bailey, Lukas poldolski and owen Hargreaves to name a few
Yes, all unproven in the PL.You’re comparing those World Cup and multiple Champions League winners to some guy from the German league.

Would strongly prefer a lower fee with higher add-ons if he reaches the potential Southampton think he has to be honest. £40m for somebody who doesn't even play for the u21s is crazy money.
If he turns out that good, I'm sure the club would be willing to forfeit a percentage of a next sale and pay more if he becomes and England regular, etc.
Anyway, as long as we get in the other players that were desperately need, I guess it means the money is there so I'll go with whatever the club decide.
Surely Any player whether you spend £100m or £100k can bomb ? The more you spend feels like you mitigate that risk but it’s not a guaranteeTo be fair to Bluewolf he has a point that Wirtz could bomb ala Nunez who they also spent huge on
